Carolina had just 119 yards in its 27-3 loss on Thursday night to the Steelers, and five-time Pro Bowl safety Troy Polamalu didn't even play. That was the second worst offensive showing in Panthers' franchise history."It was a little promising early, but they made some adjustments against the run game and tried to make us throw, and then we didn't do as well," said coach John Fox, who is one game away from the end of his career in Carolina. "We were probably lucky that it wasn't worse."
The Panthers had 113 yards in a game against Buffalo in their first season in 1995, which was their worst performance on offense before Thursday night.
