Christina Aguilera: New Year's Eve Ivy Fill-Up

Stepping out for a midday meal, Christina Aguilera ventured out for lunch at the Ivy Restaurant in West Hollywood on Friday afternoon (December 31).

The "Burlesque" beauty looked stylish as she headed into the trendy west coast eatery to fill up ahead of planned party festivities set for later this evening.

As for her party plans, Aguilera will be celebrating both a belated birthday bash paired with a New Year's Eve fete to be held at her sprawling abode.

She told press, "My actual birthday was in December and I turned 30! It was a big one - the next chapter of my life. But, because I was working so much on the movie, I postponed my birthday party, so New Year's Eve is my big 30th birthday party."

Who Had the Highest-Grossing Concert Tour of 2010?

Who Had the Highest-Grossing Concert Tour of 2010?

While the concert business took a hit in 2010 (ticket sales dropped an estimated 12 percent from last year), some artists totally rocked it out on the road.

The Los Angeles Times reported the figures from Pollstar about which acts made the biggest impact touring this year, and it's a veritable mix of tried-and-true legends with hot up-and-comers.

Bragging rights for the highest-grossing concert tour of 2010 goes to none other than Bon Jovi, whose globe-spanning live shows helped them haul in more than $200 million ($108.2 million of which came from touring the U.S. alone)! Following close behind Bon Jovi were fellow 80's icons AC/DC at $177 million.

Bono's back problems didn't hinder U2 from having a hot year, as they came in third grossing $160.9 million. The unstoppable Lady Gaga finished #4 with $133.6 million in sales and hard rockers Metallica rounded out the top 5 after raking in more than $110 million.

Those weren't the only impressive numbers to come back from Pollstar regarding 2010's biggest tours though. Fans of the Dave Matthews Band made sure to catch the group jam out before taking a hiatus in 2011, as they sold 1.27 million tickets in North America (helping them bring in $72.9 million).

After DMB and Bon Jovi came pop sensation Justin Bieber, who sold roughly 987,000 tickets to screaming teens in the U.S. Meanwhile, John Mayer moved 894,000 tickets (with a final estimation of $49.9 million in sales) and 880,000 fans came out to see Brad Paisley.

However, living legends were the ones who seemed to make the biggest impact on the touring business this year. Roger Waters brought "The Wall" on the road much to the delight of Pink Floyd fans around the world, who shelled out $89.5 million to hear the classics.

Paul McCartney, always a big draw for the generation-spanning Beatles fans, averaged $3.86 million per night and had the 6th biggest North American tour of 2010 (the 42-show tour pulled in $61.8 million).

Also filling the seats in venues everywhere were Michael Bublé (who grossed $65.7 million), the Eagles ($64.5 million) and the Black Eyed Peas ($50.5 million).

Which bands/artists did you see in concert in 2010? Chime in below!

Boney M Singer Bobby Farrell Dead

Frontman of '70s disco band died at age 61 while on tour in Russia.
By Gil Kaufman

Bobby Farrell, the energetic frontman of 1970s disco band Boney M, died on Thursday (December 30) in his hotel room in St. Petersburg, Russia, at the age of 61.

Reuters reported that Farrell was found dead in his room the day after a show in the city where the band achieved some of its career highlights during the Soviet era.

"He did a show last night as part of Bobby Farrell's Boney M and they found him this morning dead in his hotel room," agent John Seine told Reuters. "He did not feel well last night and was having problems with his breathing, but he did the show anyway." The cause of death was not immediately released.

The group, which formed in West Germany in the late 1970s, was put together by German record producer Frank Farian, best known for assembling the musicians who sang the vocals for sham 1990s pop duo Milli Vanilli. Farian, who made a career out of ghostwriting songs, was unable to make it as a singer, but when his tune "Baby Do You Wanna Bump" became a hit in 1976 under the stage name Boney M, he hired Farrell to act as the lead "singer" of the group.

Though former exotic male dancer Farrell and fellow Boney members Marcia Barrett and Liz Mitchell sang live during concerts, Farrell's vocals were largely absent from their biggest hits, including "Daddy Cool," "Sunny," "Ma Baker," "Rivers of Babylon" and "Rasputin." The group was well-received and scored a string of hits in Europe and Russia, but never really crossed over to the United States. They sold 80 million albums in their heyday and 1978's "Rivers of Babylon"/"Brown Girl in the Ring" is still the fifth-best-selling British single of all time.

By the time the group's fifth studio album, Boonoonoonoos, was released in 1981, Farrell, known as the "King of Disco," had been kicked out and replaced by another singer. Farrell (born Alfonso Farrell in Aruba on October 6, 1949) was slated to perform on New Year's Eve in Italy.

Natalie Portman Is Engaged and Pregnant

Natalie Portman Is Engaged and Pregnant

Natalie Portman blindsided the entertainment world on Monday when she announced that she was both engaged and pregnant. The lucky man is choreographer Benjamin Millepied, the accomplished French dancer who trained Portman for her role as a ballerina in Black Swan. (Also, he dances with her in the film. And also, he's gorgeous.) We're very happy for the couple, but we're still shocked by the announcement. How in the world did they manage to hide their relationship and the baby news from the gossip-hungry public?

First of all, Portman had to contend with the tabloids, which make a point to scrutinize every female celebrity's stomach and weight at all times. And as if that weren't enough, she and her fiance have both been promoting Black Swan for months now, including tons of red-carpet appearances and high-profile interviews. Granted, their relationship wasn't a total secret: since they met in 2009 (and Millepied abruptly broke up with his longtime girlfriend), they have been photographed on dates and spoken a little too sweetly about their working relationship. But when Black Swan promotion kicked into high gear, the pair seemed to go their separate ways, avoiding each other at events and after-parties. Most of us assumed that the relationship had fizzled. Little did we know that Natalie Portman had left her engagement ring at home!

As for the baby bump, it appears that she concealed it with a wardrobe of drapey, high-waisted evening gowns. But we suspect that nature is on her side, too; if the small-framed actress had significant bulge to conceal, the dresses wouldn't have worked. It's possible that she's very early in her pregnancy and just wanted to curb the media speculation outright.

In her one brief statement to the press, the actress said, “I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience." Which is much more polite than what she could have said: "Nyah nyah nyah, I sure outsmarted you!" But now that the secret's out, we can all go on to speculate on more important things -- like, what will she wear to the Oscars?

Are you surprised that Natalie Portman was able to hide her pregnancy? Chime in below!

Drake In 'Tip-Top Shape' For Take Care, Boi-1da Says

'Lyrically, he's gotten better,' producer tells Vibe magazine.
By James Dinh

Drake wasn't kidding when he said he'd been "compiling some great raps" for his new album, Take Care — just ask the project's collaborator/producer Boi-1da. In a recent interview with Vibe magazine, the hip-hop hitmaker — who worked heavily on Drizzy's Thank Me Later and Keri Hilson's recent effort — spoke about how impressed he was with the Toronto MC's lyrical flow on the sophomore effort.

"Man, 2011 is going to be a good year for music," Boi-1da told Vibe. "Drake's in tip-top shape, and what's amazed me is that lyrically, he's gotten better. He was already an outstanding lyricist, but now I'm just in anticipation of what people are going to think when they hear his new music."

The producer also revealed he gave Lil Wayne some beats for the rapper's next project, Tha Carter IV.

Boi-1da said Drake is trying to prove his credibility as a rapper more than as an R&B vocalist, saying the MC's bars speak for themselves. "I know a lot of people had criticized him for singing," the producer acknowledged, "but I think he's just coming back to show people why they fell in love with him, like, 'Did you forget about me?' And it's really coming out in his raps. It's something I can't even really explain."

Based on recent interviews, it seems as if the Toronto star is focused on making his sophomore effort much more than your average album.

"Take Care is its own mission," he said during an appearance on Shade 45's morning show. "I'm really going back to the So Far Gone where, first of all, as much as the label and people are fighting me, I'm not doing 14 songs, 'cause it doesn't give me enough. I want to do interludes, transitions and different moments. I have an overabundance. I've never had this many raps."

Jets Lose Shootout to Bears, Still Headed to Playoffs Anyway

Johnny Knox

CHICAGO - Given all the emphasis and attention placed on foot fetishes this past week, it would be trite to say the New York Jets shot themselves in the foot in Sunday's 38-34 loss to the Chicago Bears.

But karma has a funny way of turning things around in literally a footstep, no pun intended. No sooner did a disconsolate Jets coach Rex Ryan begin talking to the media about how disappointed he was in the loss to the Bears, and how the Jets would have to play their way into the playoffs in the season finale against Buffalo, a huge roar came from within the adjacent Jets locker room at Soldier Field.

Bears 38, Jets 34: Quick Hits | Recap | Box Score

"We're in, we're in," came shouts from the other side of the door.

And with that, Ryan's demeanor did an immediate 180-degree turn. Instead of continuing to fret and frown, a previously somber Ryan broke into a huge grin.

"Uh, by the way, I think we're in the playoffs," Ryan quipped. "It ain't the way I wanted it, but I'll take it. Whew, my goodness."

Paris Hilton's Flight Evacuated After Knife Was Found on Board

Paris Hilton's Flight Evacuated After Knife Was Found on Board

This Tuesday marked yet another travel debacle for Paris Hilton, as she had to be evacuated from her plane headed to Hawaii after a large knife was found on board the Delta flight. That's not a good way to start the holidays!

According to Hilton's Twitter page, a passenger found a "big knife" in a seat pocket before the plane took off from Los Angeles. Calling the incident "scary," Hilton seemed to get over the incident fairly quickly. "They just finished the security sweep of the plane. About to board again," she wrote. "So strange a knife got on board. Can't wait to get to Maui."

A law enforcement source told TMZ.com that the weapon found on the starlet's plane was actually a "box-cutting knife" that belonged to the airline crew.

Would you be willing to get back on a plane after a weapon was found on board? Chime in below!

Panthers' Offense Stuck in Woeful Mode

Carolina had just 119 yards in its 27-3 loss on Thursday night to the Steelers, and five-time Pro Bowl safety Troy Polamalu didn't even play. That was the second worst offensive showing in Panthers' franchise history.

"It was a little promising early, but they made some adjustments against the run game and tried to make us throw, and then we didn't do as well," said coach John Fox, who is one game away from the end of his career in Carolina. "We were probably lucky that it wasn't worse."

The Panthers had 113 yards in a game against Buffalo in their first season in 1995, which was their worst performance on offense before Thursday night.

Zac Efron Debuts Buzz Cut

Actor gets a military 'do for 'The Lucky One' and urges film's crew to get in on the haircuts for charity.
By Terri Schwartz

Zac Efron
Photo: Twitter

Zac Efron already ditched his token shaggy locks for a flipped-up 'do in "Charlie St. Cloud," but now he's made a radical hair change that could rival Watsongate. Efron traded his pretty head of hair for a military buzz cut while he was filming on the set of "The Lucky One," and a fan who snapped a photo with the former Disney star debuted Efron's new look via Twitter.

Filming wrapped on "The Lucky One" on Tuesday, but Efron decided he wasn't going to be the only lucky member of the crew to walk away with a shorter haircut. Since everyone is feeling charitable for the holidays, Efron made a deal with the crew of "The Lucky One" last week. For every crewmember who shaved their heads like he did, Efron would donate cash to the local charity Kingsley House. The Louisiana-based organization lists its mission as educating children, strengthening families and building community.

Thirty crewmembers took Efron up on his proposal, New Orleans' daily paper the Times-Picayune reported, including two who donated their hair to Locks of Love. The exact amount of money Efron has agreed to donate to Kingsley House hasn't been announced yet, but the Times-Picayune is reporting that it's thousands of dollars.

"He likes doing things for charity -- two Make-A-Wish kids made a visit to the set while he was there -- and he felt like he wanted to do something for a New Orleans charity since he had such a nice time shooting there," Efron's publicist Gina Hoffman told the New Orleans newspaper.

So for everyone out there hoping Efron's radical hair change was a result of his recent breakup with longtime girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, your hopes have gone unanswered. When People recently caught up with Hudgens at her birthday party last week, she also confirmed that she and Efron are "good" after their split.

Kid Scoop: A Return to Haiti, Alex Pettyfer, and 'Gravity Falls'

Kid Scoop: A Return to Haiti, Alex Pettyfer, and 'Gravity Falls'

With each serving of Kid Scoop, we share the latest news in the world of kids' TV and movies, so YOU can be the know-it-all for a change. This week's scoop features a return to Haiti, upcoming superstar Alex Pettyfer, Disney's Gravity Falls, and more.

A Return to Haiti
Nickelodeon observes the first anniversary of the Haitian earthquake with Nick News: "Haiti Rising? Life in the Ruins" on January 9. Why will kids be concerned a year after the disaster? Well, half the population of Haiti is under 18 and more than half of the homeless there are children. And if there's one thing kids respond to, its the plight of other kids. No one knows that better than Nick News. "We saw kids dealing with the reality of today while dreaming about tomorrow," says host Linda Ellerbee. "The story of Haiti is a kid’s story. The world must not fail them."

The Next Big Star?
Do you know Alex Pettyfer? If you don't, you will very soon -- and not just because the 20-year-old former model and actor looks like the offspring of both Paul Newman and Robert Redford. The star of 2006's blink-and-miss-it Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker (based on a British spy series for young adults) Pettyfer is starring in two can't-miss-it teen-friendly films next year: I Am Number Four, a sci-fi action thriller executive produced by Steven Spielberg and co-starring Glee's Diana Agron is scheduled for a February release, while March's Beastly, a modern take on the Beauty and the Beast fable co-stars Vanessa Hudgens, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Neil Patrick Harris. Will Alex be the next Robert or Taylor? By next summer, we'll know Pettyfer sure. In the meantime, stump your kids with these factoids: the young man has numerous tattoos, is reportedly afraid of flying, and once dated Emma Roberts.

Disney's Sense of Gravity
Something odd is going on in Oregon… on TV anyway. Gravity Falls, an upcoming Disney Channel animated series, focuses on a pair of twins spending the summer at their great uncle’s tourist museum in Gravity Falls, Oregon. A mystery series about an oddball museum is fairly original by kid TV standards. Calling the museum “The Mystery Shack”? Notsomuch. The series falls onto TV screens in spring, 2012.

Casting a Shadow
DreamWorks is planning an animated film with a serious dark side. Me and My Shadow focuses on Stanley Grubb, "the most boring human ever" and his shadow, Shadow Stan, who seeks a more exciting life and takes control of Stanley. Do you need me to foreshadow what happens next? Me and My Shadow is scheduled to creep into theaters March of 2013.

Jersey Shore's Crazy Season 3 Trailer

Jersey Shore's Crazy Season 3 Trailer

After two seasons of Jersey Shore, every cast member has been in a bar brawl, fallen in love, had a run-in with the police, stormed off the set, gotten funny-drunk, and/or hooked up with at least one housemate. How can the show possibly get any crazier? Funny you should ask, because we have the extended Season 3 trailer here -- and the new season is going to be off the wall! Watch it now:

So obviously, there are a few changes this season. First of all, the gang is actually back in Jersey, after spending the winter in Miami for Season 2. They also have an actual Jersey girl on board for the first time: Deena Cortese, a good friend of Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, is replacing the much-loathed drama queen Angelina Pivarnick. In the trailer, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola describes Deena as "four feet tall, short little meatball, exactly like Snooki." Which is good, because we could all use a little more Snooki. (In fact, Snooki is the only cast member we'd actually want two of!)

From the two minutes of footage in the trailer, this may actually be the most eventful season yet: we see Jenni "J-Woww" Farley breaking into her own house after a bad break-up, Sammi getting violent with the housemates (and possibly leaving the show?), Ronnie Magro having some sort of intimate medical exam, Deena getting naked for no reason, and finally, Snooki's arrest for public drunkenness (which, now that we've seen her standing on the boardwalk and asking "Where the f*** is the beach?", is actually pretty hilarious). And we don't even know what kind of trouble Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and "DJ" Pauly DelVecchio got into.

In the words of Vinny Guadagnino, "The dynamic definitely has changed. It's not one big happy family anymore." But really, how unhappy can they be when they get paid millions of dollars to live rent-free on the beach? We say, bring on the drama!

Jersey Shore Season 3 premieres on January 6th.

What do you think of the new cast member? Chime in below!

Wiz Khalifa To Go Green On Next Single, 'Roll Up'

Pittsburgh MC tells MTV News he just 'came up with' follow-up to 'Black and Yellow.'
By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Matt Elias

Wiz Khalifa

Wiz Khalifa may not be an environmentalist, but the Pittsburgh rapper does have a thing for the green movement.

So for a follow-up to his breakout hit "Black and Yellow," it only makes sense he tap a resource he's familiar with.

"The next single is called 'Roll Up,' surprisingly," he told MTV News with a laugh. "Really, I just needed another single and we were trying to come up with a look and then me and [my manager] talked about it," Wiz continued. "We talked about it for three minutes. And then I came up with that song."

The track is slated for release on his forthcoming debut album, which is yet-untitled but tentatively scheduled for a March release.

"I'm definitely looking forward to my next single coming out," Wiz said. "I'm looking forward to my album dropping in late March, which is gonna be exciting for me and the Taylors worldwide. Like I keep saying, always keep building on top of my brand, keep doing what I'm doing and make new fans."

The MC is currently in Los Angeles, where MTV News visited Wiz and Snoop Dogg as they shot the video for the remix, or G-mix, to Wiz's "Black and Yellow."

"Black and yellow, ahh, black and yellow/ See me now they treating me like I'm somebody special," Wiz spits on the remix. "Smoking on that good, know it's me soon as they smell it/ You can chill, I'm the one who get it, not the one who sell it/ I grind every day, I'm balling, I can't help it/ N---as on that bullsh--, my pockets full of Celtics."

Snoop sent a picture to Twitter of the pair partaking in some smoke-filled activities while in the studio over the weekend. "Tha Dogg N @RealWizKhalifa blowin' like a broke stove, ya digggggggg?!?!?!" Snoop wrote.

What do you think of Wiz's "Black and Yellow"? Tell us in the comments!

Winona Ryder: I Knew Mel Gibson Was a Bigot 15 Years Ago

Winona Ryder: I Knew Mel Gibson Was a Bigot 15 Years Ago

When Mel Gibson's highly offensive audio-taped rants made the news this summer, celebrity friends like Jodie Foster and Whoopi Goldberg swore that the Mel they knew wasn't racist or sexist. Now Winona Ryder is saying that the Mel Gibson on the tapes sounds a whole lot like the Mel Gibson she once knew.

In the new issue of GQ, Ryder, 39, recalls meeting Gibson about fifteen years ago at a big Hollywood party. She had come with a gay friend, and says Gibson was "really drunk."

"He made a really horrible gay joke," the Black Swan actress recalls. "And somehow it came up that I was Jewish. He said something about 'oven dodgers,' but I didn't get it. I'd never heard that before."

Holy crap -- who the heck says something like that? Mel Gibson does, apparently. But because his Hollywood reputation was still largely untarnished, nobody bought Ryder's story.

"I was like, 'He's anti-Semitic and he's homophobic,'" she says. "No one believed me! "

We believe you, Winona! Ryder's story is sad, though, because if it's true, it means that Mel Gibson's problem runs deep. We know that Gibson had a drinking problem and went to rehab in 1991. But around the time Ryder says she met him, he was theoretically recovering -- and doing some of the best work of his career in Braveheart and Maverick. Unfortunately for Gibson fans, it sounds like the guy on those tapes has been lurking around Hollywood for quite some time.

Do you think Winona Ryder's story is true? Chime in below!

Kanye West Is MTV News' Man Of The Year

Undeniable music, brilliant tweets and one ambitious short film put 'Ye back on top in 2010.
By James Montgomery

Kanye West
Photo: D. Dipasupil/Getty Images

He didn't sell the most albums (that was Eminem) or have the year's hottest single (that was Usher), but at the close of 2010, there really is no other choice for MTV News' Man of the Year than Kanye West.

(They're more than just pretty faces, but you can still check out photos of our Men and Women of 2010!)

After all, no one dominated the pop-culture landscape quite like he did. From his self-imposed hiatus to his triumphant return to his tantrums (and, of course, his tweets), everyone was talking about West in 2010. No one completed as compelling a comeback story, and most importantly, no one released an album as searing and soaring as My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. And he did it all his way, without compromise or contrition. It truly was 12 months to behold.

West came into 2010 as a villain, still stinging from the public smack-down he received following the Taylor Swift debacle, and he leaves it as a hero: not only the year's most celebrated artist, but its most compelling and visionary too. And if that's not worthy of an award, well, then we don't know what is. King Kanye reigns supreme. Here's a look back at a very memorable year in his life.

2010 Highlights: West's story actually begins in September 2009, after he stormed the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards. His actions were lambasted by everyone from Donald Trump to Jimmy Carter, and as a result, he tearfully told Jay Leno that he needed to "take time off." And he wasn't kidding. 'Ye canceled his much-anticipated Fame Kills Tour with Lady Gaga and all but disappeared from the public eye, leading to rumors that he had checked himself into rehab (or, alternately, fled to India). He briefly appeared onstage with Beyoncé in London, but, really, that was it. West was, for all intents and purposes, a ghost.

He skipped the Grammys in February but did appear on the "We Are the World - 25 for Haiti" charity single, which signaled his slow return. The following month, he wrote a lengthy blog post that remembered late designer Alexander McQueen and hinted that he had begun working on, well, something. And then in May, we finally began to hear the fruits of his labor when the snarling "Power" leaked to the Net. The following month, he returned to the stage with a swaggering performance of the song at the BET Awards, and then, it was game on.

He famously joined Twitter (a move that would give birth to an unending stream of brilliance in the ensuing months) and began a string of impromptu performances at corporate headquarters. In August, he premiered the arty 90-second clip for "Power" and spent the next month working with everyone from Bon Iver to Justin Bieber. He unveiled his G.O.O.D. Fridays project and premiered a new song, the artfully damaged "Runaway," at the 2010 VMAs. He wowed viewers on "Saturday Night Live," announced that his new album would be titled My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and began screening "Runaway," the 35-minute film he directed, around the world.

In October, he made waves when he tweeted that the cover art for Fantasy had been "banned" and then premiered "Runaway" on MTV. In November, with the release of his album less than three weeks away, he became tangled up with George W. Bush and "Today" show host Matt Lauer. Fantasy garners rave reviews for its scope and swagger, and it subsequently tops the Billboard albums chart. "Runaway" and "Power" land at #2 and #3, respectively, on MTV News' Top 25 Songs of 2010 countdown, and as the year draws to a close, West continues to make headlines, both with a gory preview of his "Monster" video and rumors that he knocked up Kim Kardashian — both of which seem to point to the fact that 2011 is gonna be a big year, indeed.

Chuck Bednarik's Hit on Frank Gifford Reverberates 50 Years Later

Chuck Bednarik stands over Frank Giffod

The picture, taken 50 years and one month ago at Yankee Stadium, remains in homes and gathering places all over Philadelphia: Chuck Bednarik standing over a prone Frank Gifford, his right arm high in the air in celebration, a 1960 version of a fist pump.

To many Philadelphians, it represents the ultimate crushing of New York.

To New Yorkers, it represents the ultimate in cheap shots, a blow that put Gifford, the Giants' star running back, out not only for that season but also the next.

In fact, it is was a perfectly legal hit, even by today's far more stringent standards -- a blow to the ribs that was so hard that it knocked Gifford's head to the ground, causing a concussion.

As the Giants and Eagles prepare to meet Sunday tied for the lead in the NFC East, it represents one of the few times in that era when Philadelphia was superior to New York, the defining play of the first of back-to-back wins over the perennial Eastern Conference champions that eventually led to a win in the NFL's championship game over Vince Lombardi's Packers.

It turned out to be the last NFL championship the Eagles won, one reason for the continuing frustration in Philly despite five division titles, five trips to championship games and one to a Super Bowl and a 127-79-1 record in the nearly 12 seasons Andy Reid has coached the team.

"The other teams in the division have won Super Bowls. The Eagles haven't. That's why the people here refer back to that game, '' says Ken Safarovic, Bednarik's son-in-law.

Indeed.

In the last 30 years, the Redskins, Giants and Cowboys all have three Super Bowl victories and the Cowboys have two more from the 1970s. The Eagles have bundles or regular-season wins, but no trophies, so even though that 127-79-1, is the second-best record in the NFL to New England over that period, it doesn't cut it, especially since the hated side from the hated city less than two hours away won a title just three years ago.

Thus the iconic status of Bednarik, now 85. And the even more iconic status of that picture of the NFL's last two-way player -- he played every snap at center and linebacker in the 17-13 title game win over the Packers at Franklin Field -- standing over Gifford with his fist raised. "Not 60 minutes, just 58 1/2 minutes,'' he says. "I didn't play on the punt and kickoff teams.''

Diddy And Justin Bieber Team Up In The Studio

MTV News' Sway joins rap mogul, teen idol and manager Scooter Braun as Bieber records song he wrote himself.

On Tuesday (December 14), RapFix and MTV News' Sway tagged along with Diddy as the rap mogul went on a whirlwind promotional tour through New York in support of Diddy-Dirty Money's just-released Last Train to Paris.

There were many stops along the way — New York radio station Hot 97, a scorching-hot performance of "Coming Home" on "The View" — but the part of the day that's sure to make the girls scream is when Diddy linked up with Justin Bieber.

A little before 7:30 p.m., Diddy hung out with Justin at a recording studio. They were there because the Grammy-nominated teen idol had an idea for a song and needed to "get it off of his chest," according to Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun. Apparently, this studio is like a second home for the 16-year-old pop star.

But it wasn't all laying down tracks. Braun recalled the first time Bieber met the rap impresario (on the 2009 VMA red carpet), and Diddy gifted Bieber with a Diddy-Dirty Money jacket, declaring him an honorary group member! But that gift probably can't top the 16th-birthday present the Diddy-Dirty frontman gave the Biebs this year.

His big-deal birthday present? A $200,000 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.

Before we parted ways, Scooter also dished about Bieber's upcoming 3-D movie, "Never Say Never," calling the MTV Films release "incredible."

Diddy and his Dirty Money ladies, Dawn Richard and Kaleena, are celebrating the release of their Last Train to Paris on Tuesday night with a Ustream party.

Are you excited to hear Diddy and Justin were in the studio together? Tell us in the comments!

Giants Biding Their Time in Midst of Quite a Bizarre Road Trip

Steve Martin has been nowhere in sight except maybe on someone's DVD, but the New York Giants' weekend has certainly been like "Plane, Trains and Automobiles."

Joked defensive end Justin Tuck, "We're kind of getting tired of each other. It's like recreating a bad Christmas movie."

Tom Coughlin, the Giants' 64-year-old coach said he has never been through a situation quite like this. John Mara, New York's 55-year-old co-owner, who was born into the franchise then owned by his father, agreed that he has never had to deal with anything like the team being unable to get to a game because of weather, then having the venue become unplayable and now shifting the contest to a different day and state.

"I've tried to think of anything that's even close, but to be honest with you, I don't think there is anything," Coughlin said of Sunday afternoon's game at Minnesota being moved to Monday night at Detroit'd Ford Field after the roof of the Metrodome collapsed under the weight of a snowstorm that swamped the Twin Cities.

Ke$ha Reflects On 'Really Intense' Breakout Year

Billboard cover girl is the magazine's Hot 100 Artist of the Year.

She was overlooked by the Grammys, but Ke$ha dominated radio and the charts in 2010 with her Auto-Tuned electro-pop and a distinctive "garbage chic" style that had everybody talking.

In the latest issue of Billboard, the party-girl pop star opens up about her whirlwind rise to the top, saying she has no regrets about her breakthrough year.

"Are you kidding me? I pretty much feel like I've been reborn into this completely different existence," the singer told the magazine when asked how life had changed for her. "My entire life has become making music and playing shows, and I love it. I've accepted the fact that my fans are now my family, and I won't be having boyfriends. I'll just be having a really amazing relationship with the radio."

The pop star said that although she "wasn't clueless" about what fame might bring, it far exceeded her expectations. "It's just not at all what I expected it to be like," she said. "It's really intense, more intense than I ever thought it would be."

Recalling paparazzi chasing her as she made her arrival at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, Ke$ha said, "I was having an anxiety attack, like, 'I just wrote some pop songs, man!' "

Ke$ha, who graces the mag's cover wearing a crown as she pops a bottle of champagne, also talked about her big debut single, saying, "Sometimes I need to remind myself that 'Tik Tok' only went to #1 in January, because it kind of feels like it was 17 years ago."

The mag went on to ask if "Tik Tok" was the best way to introduced herself to the public. "I don't know. We didn't really know which song to come out with first," Ke$ha said. "It was kind of a debate, because I didn't initially come out as a rapper; I've always been a singer. So having my first single classified as kind of a rap song felt bizarre to me. But now it's become something of a trademark, and it's becoming more legitimate. I've talked to some of my favorite rap artists over the past year — artists who are idols — and they've given me mad props."

What was your favorite Ke$ha moment of 2010? Tell us in the comments!

Gene Simmons: Jennifer Lopez Shouldn't Be an Idol Judge

Gene Simmons: Jennifer Lopez Shouldn't Be an Idol Judge

Gene Simmons of the band Kiss is known for his extra-long tongue -- and for better or worse, he has a big mouth to go with it. The 61-year-old rocker went off on OK! Magazine about how Jennifer Lopez didn't deserve to be an American Idol judge.

"I don't think Jennifer Lopez is going to mean a thing," the musician told the magazine. "Because you can dance and stuff, you don't write songs, your own records... I don't take her seriously as being able to spot new talent. So, you can sing, you can dance, that's nice."

So who does Simmons think would be a better judge? Well -- himself, obviously.

“In terms of qualifications I’m the governor," Simmons brags. "I’ve written songs, been in a band for 37 years, toured the world, blah blah, discovered Van Halen, and managed Liza Minnelli, Simmons Records. Done it, been there, 3,000 licensed products. Who else has that qualification?”

Okay, well, probably no one -- but since when has selling "3,000 licensed products" (is he referring to Kiss bobbleheads?) been a qualification for judging American Idol? At the end of the day, Idol is a TV show, and the judges need to be charismatic, knowledgeable, and sympathetic to what the kids onstage are going through. J-Lo is a major inspiration for the new generation of performers, and she's got a great combination of toughness and likeability. Even if she didn't discover Van Halen, we think she seems like a perfect fit. (Plus she's more industry-savvy than the beloved Paula Abdul -- who, let's face it, was never exactly a rocket scientist.)

Honestly, it sounds like Gene Simmons is a little jealous. The guy is a rock legend, but he's never had Idol-level television success, despite creating and starring in three different reality shows. The most successful of these, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, is currently in its fifth season on A&E.

To be fair, there is one new judge whom Simmons fully supports: Aerosmith's Steven Tyler.

"Steven is going to be great," says Simmons. "He is going to be the only interesting one there because obviously he’s going to be qualified to know what he is talking about."

Do you think Jennifer Lopez is qualified to be an American Idol judge? Chime in below!
