Jillian Michaels: I'm Trying to Adopt a Baby from Africa

Jillian Michaels has announced that she's leaving The Biggest Loser and moving on to another big venture.

"I want to start a family," the trainer told Access Hollywood on Saturday. "I'd like to take a year off of television and really focus on – I'm in the middle of the adoption process – and really focus on that and hopefully becoming a mother in the next year and putting all my energy into that for awhile."

Michaels says she plans to return to TV in 2012 but, before that, she's working through the adoption process, which she calls "an incredible undertaking."

"I've completed all of my paperwork; I've had all my physicals; I've been checked by the FBI – you have no idea!," Michaels said. "Now I wait for a referral. That could be anywhere from six months to a year. I’m in a pilot program for the Democratic Republic of Congo so we’ll see. Then you get your referral and then you have to try to bring your kid back home," she continued. "So, it’s a process… but I'm excited for it!"

As for her child's gender, Michaels says she "doesn't matter," and that her mind and body are just ready.

"I'm 36! Do you hear the clock? It doesn’t matter!" she laughed. "As long as there’s a little teeny person with me, I'll be good."

Baby drama. Fiance drama. Kim and NeNe drama. Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta (which airs part one of its reunion show on Sunday, Feb. 13) has had no shortage of fireworks during its third season. And Housewives Phaedra Parks, Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey sat down with iVillage recently to dish on the headline-grabbing happenings.

One of the biggest controversies this season? How far along Parks’ pregnancy was -- which led her castmates to question whether she was telling the truth about her due date. "I found that the drama surrounding my pregnancy and due date was very 1950s, very Peyton Place," the 38-year-old lawyer, who’s now mom to 8-month-old son Ayden with husband Apollo Nida, tells iVillage. "I had a very high-risk pregnancy and I was on bed rest and I was very sick. The people I chose to tell were people who would be very supportive. And as you can see from the show, sometimes there can be more negative than positive energy."

The would-they-or-wouldn’t-they-get-hitched question lingered throughout the season for 43-year-old model Bailey and fiancé Peter Thomas, whose money problems and relationship issues made their road to matrimony anything but blissful. "All kinds of craziness started happening during the whole preparations for the wedding," Bailey tells iVillage. "It was just a lot of drama. It didn’t look like (the wedding) was going to happen many, many times. Very bumpy road."

Equally bumpy was the dissolution of now-pregnant Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes’ friendship, which seemed to have been patched up this season after Kim alleged NeNe tried to choke her during an off-camera altercation in season 2. But that peace treaty quickly crumbled when NeNe joined Kandi and Kim for their promotional concert road trip from hell. "Being on tour on a bus together for like a week to two weeks and then you add NeNe to the mix -- ooh, it’s interesting," Burruss, 34, says with a laugh.

Meet 'The Real Housewives of Miami'

Miami is known for its beautiful women and lavish social scene, but can this already extravagant Florida town handle the drama that The Real Housewives of Miami will bring? Bravo announced Thursday that the fiery new Real Housewives series will kick off Feb. 22 with six fierce, influential Miami women ready to heat things up.

Lea Black is a Texas-born philanthropist who is married to Roy Black, one of the top criminal defense attorneys in the country. The two have a 9-year-old son together. Politics are super important to this well-respected gal, who was an ardent supporter of President Barack Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign and supports several local Florida politicians.

Marysol Patton is a Miami native who runs a very successful public relations firm. This divorcée puts most of her time and energy into her work, which includes throwing exclusive parties for her A-list clients. When she's not on the clock, Patton hangs out with her mother Else, a self-proclaimed "seer" (not a psychic) who doles out spiritual advice.

Adriana DeMoura-Sidi is a recently divorced mom who has already lined up her next husband, Fredric. But this Brazillian-born full-time mom is quite the flirt, which leads to a lot of gossip -- and some problems with her fiancé.

Alexia Echevarria is nicknamed the "Cuban Barbie." This career-oriented woman is the editor-in-chief of Venue Magazine, a Latin-centric publication that spotlights fashion trends and up-and-coming stars. She's married and has two sons from a previous marriage.

Cristy Rice recently divorced her husband, NBA superstar Glen Rice. She's adjusting to living her new life as a single mom. Between raising her three children and running her own clothing store, this proud Miami native has a lot on her plate.

Larsa Pippen is married to NBA legend Scottie Pippen and shares the unofficial title of "Hottest NBA Wife" with Rice. She's a snarky, Lebanese powerhouse intent on turning her three little boys into star athletes. She also has a very spoiled 1-year-old daughter. Pippen isn't shy about saying she's good at everything she does.

Besides these movers and shakers about town, there's also talk of a drag queen joining the cast at some point this season. PopEater reports that blonde bombshell Elaine Lancaster, who is a close friend of Dennis Rodman and whose male name is James Davis, will be part of the show's wider ensemble. One TV executive allegedly said having "this kind of character" on "mainstream TV with honesty and dignity will help everyone accept that the America we all live in is full of beautiful and talented people that come in many different forms." Of course, it'll also make for one heck of an entertaining show.

WATCH: Kim Kardashian: My Breasts "Are 100 Percent Real"

Kim Kardashian is attempting to put the plastic surgery talk to rest, once and for all. The curvaceous reality star appeared on Piers Morgan Tonight, along with her sister Kourtney, where she told the host her breasts are very real.

"There's a lot of plastic surgery rumors that swirl, and I'm the first one to be super honest," says the Kourtney and Kim Take New York star, 30, who has admitted to trying Botox. "And so everyone was talking about that, saying that they must be, you know, fake."

But Kim wants to be very clear about her blessed body. "They are real," she says. "They are completely 100 percent real."

Yet the same doesn't go for Kourtney, who was quick to own up to the fact that she's has had surgery.

"These babies are not real," Kourtney, 31, said while pointing at a cardboard cutout of herself. "I used to make fun of (Kim) when we were little and then I went and got surgery."

So, if she hasn't been surgically enhanced, how does Kim get her chest to look so voluptuous all the time?

"That's what Spanx and masking tape are for," she says.

We didn't realize how much we'd missed Isaiah Mustafa until he came back to us. Yes, Mustafa -- better known as the Old Spice Guy -- has returned to remind us that he is still "the man your man could smell like." In the new Web-only commercial, he is funny, eloquent and (of course) shirtless. Watch it below!

Did you get lost in those striking brown eyes? We did, too.

This YouTube spot is Mustafa's first commercial since he took a hiatus six months ago. The actor and former NFL player has been busy launching a movie career, including a small part in the Jennifer Aniston comedy Horrible Bosses and a big part in Tyler Perry's new Madea movie, Madea's Big Happy Family. From this commercial, it sounds like he'll also be starring in a new series of Old Spice ads -- and that suits him (and us) just fine.

"I'm okay with being the Old Spice Guy," Mustafa told Newsweek in December, "because before I was the Old Spice Guy, I was the guy looking for work on his couch."

Isaiah, you're on your way to a hot career -- but if you ever find yourself falling on hard times again, we know a lot of ladies who would gladly offer you a couch!

John Fox Hires Linebackers and Secondary Coaches to Broncos' Staff

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- A day after hiring his defensive coordinator, Broncos coach John Fox turned to his Carolina coaching connections in bringing aboard Richard Smith as linebackers coach and Ron Milus as secondary coach.

With the addition Tuesday of Smith and Milus, along with Monday's hiring of New Orleans Saints' secondary coach Dennis Allen as the Broncos' defensive coordinator, the assembly of Fox's staff neared completion. Fox, hired to coach the Broncos on Jan. 13 after his contract was not renewed following his ninth season in Carolina, may still add several quality-control assistants but the basic staff framework is now in place.

Fox and most of his newly hired assistants were convening for the first time as a staff this week in Mobile, Ala., site of the Senior Bowl, one of the key college all-star games for the evaluation of NFL draft prospects. Vice president of football operations John Elway, general manager Brian Xanders and other members of the Broncos' personnel department also were in attendance.

The Broncos have the second overall pick in the NFL draft in April.

Smith and Milus are both veteran NFL assistants who worked with Fox the last two seasons while they were all in Carolina. Both have previous stints in Denver -- Smith as both the Broncos special teams coach and linebackers coach from 1993-96 and Milus as the secondary coach from 2000-2002.

Smith also spent time as defensive coordinator for Houston (2006-08) and Miami (2005). Milus also coached the secondary at Arizona (2003), the New York Giants (2004-2005) and St. Louis (2006-08).

Allen spent nine years in the NFL as an assistant before being hired as a coordinator for the first time. He has been in New Orleans for the past five years, including the last three coaching the secondary.

Under Allen, the Saints secondary this past season gave up a league-low 13 touchdown passes. During the 2009 Saints' season, the New Orleans secondary came up with 20 interceptions, returning five of them for touchdowns, en route to the team's first Super Bowl title.

'Let's have bands, let's have songwriters, let's change the format a little,' he tells MTV News of what he would have shaken up as a judge.

Now that "American Idol" has kicked off its 10th season with a bright, shiny new group of judges, it's almost hard to remember that chaotic time over the summer when the fate of the panel was in limbo — back when Jessica Simpson, Justin Timberlake and Elton John were all rumored to be in consideration.

When MTV News caught up with Sir Elton recently as he promoted the upcoming animated film "Gnomeo & Juliet," for which John composed original songs, we asked if he'll be making any appearances on "Idol" this season.

"I don't know if you'll see me on this season," he said. "But you won't see me judging, obviously! But I don't know if I'm going to be on it. They've always been very, very generous to the AIDS Foundation," John said of the "Idol Gives Back" charity show. "I'm very, very grateful. They've been helpful to us. I don't know if I'm going to be on or not. I can't answer that question."

With regard to fellow Brit and former "Idol" judge Simon Cowell's "X Factor," however, John brightened a bit when we asked what he thinks of it and how well it will do in the U.S.

" 'X Factor' is going to be a huge show," John said. "It's going to be huge, because you can have bands on there, and that's one thing I wanted to change, if I had been on 'American Idol,' " he revealed. "Get away from the solo stuff. Let's have bands, let's have writers, let's have songwriters, let's change the format a little, and that's why 'X Factor' is going to do so well, because it's a different lineup. You can have bands and groups. That's more interesting I think."

When is good, not so good? Pete Mangurian seemed to work wonders with a beat up Tampa Bay offensive line in 2010, but the Bucs' offensive line coach was fired Friday. It was unexpected outside the Bucs' building, to say the least.

Evidently, it was no surprise inside the building, or in the executive offices. Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times said this morning that there was a difference in philosophy between offensive coordinator Greg Olson and Mangurian, which led to the dismissal.

"This is Greg Olson asserting himself," Holder said.

Mangurian was with the Bucs two seasons. He was in place when Olson was hired quickly before the 2009 season after Jeff Jagodzinski was abruptly fired.

The Times is reporting that Tampa Bay will hire former Minnesota offensive line coach Pete Morris.

The Tampa Tribune caught up with veteran Jeff Faine, who seemed surprised by the move.

Andy Reid 'Thrilled' by Signing of Coach Jim Washburn to Bolster Eagles Defense

Neither Dallas nor Philadelphia had a defensive coordinator as of Wednesday afternoon -- although presumptive Cowboys defensive boss Rob Ryan was seen at the team's Valley Ranch facility. However, the Eagles went one-up on their NFC East rivals by hiring an esteemed defensive line coach, Jim Washburn.

"We are thrilled to add a quality defensive line coach in Jim Washburn," coach Andy Reid said in a statement released by the Eagles, who let predecessor Rory Segrest go when they fired coordinator Sean McDermott last week "He had a great tenure with Jeff Fisher and the Tennessee Titans and he'll play a big part in the development of our defensive line moving forward. He's had a number of Pro Bowl players working under him over the years with the Titans and we're happy to have him join our coaching staff in Philadelphia."

The 61-year-old Washburn spent the past 12 seasons with the Titans whom he helped win an AFC Championship, three division titles and post five winning records.

"Words cannot express the gratitude I have for (Tennessee coach) Jeff Fisher and the Titans organization for allowing a nobody like me to coach in the NFL for the last 12 years. An opportunity came along for me to join the Eagles and I felt like it was good timing. At this stage of my career, I'm ready to make a change.

"This is no reflection on the state of the Titans but just a good opportunity for me. My wife, Sandy, and I have long planned to make Middle Tennessee our home and that is still our plan. However, we look forward to moving to Philadelphia and joining a top-flight organization like the Eagles and work for a premier coach in Andy Reid."

As far as who Washburn's direct supervisor will be, it seems likely that it will be former Chicago/Detroit/Buffalo coach Dick Jauron, who guided Philadelphia's defensive backs last season, or former Atlanta and Seattle coach Jim Mora Jr. Mora, who interviewed with new Broncos coach John Fox on Tuesday but left Denver without signing a contract. Mora is expected to meet next with Reid, who's currently on vacation.

During Washburn's tenure, the Titans ranked fifth against the run and seventh in sacks. Seven of his players -- Jason Babin, Kevin Carter, Albert Haynesworth, Jevon Kearse, Antwan Odom, Robaire Smith, John Thornton and Gary Walker -- combined to be chosen for 11 Pro Bowls. According to the Eagles, those were both NFL bests during the past dozen seasons.

Having set a precedent for a stunning intradivisional deal by trading face of the franchise quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Redskins last April, maybe Reid will gamble that Washburn can get the most out of Haynesworth again and trade for the 2007-08 All Pro, who was miserable and not that productive in Washington the last two seasons. Haynesworth praised Washburn more than once to Washington reporters and back in 2003 he told a Nashville reporter, "He was cussing at me ... and I was like, 'Is this guy serious?' I didn't think I could take it, but I did, and it helped me out a lot."

Awards season officially kicks into high gear this week with three big events. The National Board of Review handed out motion picture honors in New York City on Tuesday (January 11) and the Golden Globe Awards are set to air on Sunday. But next up are the Critics' Choice Movie Awards, which air live on on VH1 Friday.

The award shows are always star-studded affairs, and the 2011 CCMAs will be no different. The show's organizers have announced their presenters, and the A-list lineup includes Hank Azaria, Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin, Jesse Eisenberg, Jon Hamm, Ed Helms, Rob Huebel and the Kardashians (Khloé, Kim and Kourtney). Jimmy Kimmel, Greg Kinnear, Julianne Moore, Joan Rivers, Paul Scheer, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sarah Silverman, Emma Stone and Sofia Vergara have also been tapped as presenters.

Blunt and late-night host Kimmel are set to present Matt Damon with the Joel Siegel Award, and for your musical entertainment, Maroon 5 will be on hand as the official house band performing live as part of the pre-show and during the ceremony.

"Black Swan" leads the nominees at the 16th annual CCMAs with 12 nods, followed by "True Grit" and "The King's Speech," tied for second with 11 nominations.

In anticipation of the event, MTV and VH1 teamed up with the "Jackass" cast to spoof the four films nominated for Best Picture, including "The Social Network." Watch out for their antics leading up to Friday's show!

The Critics' Choice Movie Awards air on Friday, January 14, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on VH1.

Lily Collins Feels The 'Momentum' Going Into 2011

With roles in 'Abduction,' 'Priest' and 'City of Bones,' the actress is one of MTV News' 11 for '11.

There was a time, not long ago, when Lily Collins was known — if she was known at all — as the daughter of a famous rock star, appearing in the pages of fashion magazines and at haute-couture-resplendent debutante balls. Her story could have stayed on such a track, another pretty face with an illustrious pedigree, fame born simply of fame instead of accomplishment.

But that's not how Collins' story will be told. Rather, it'll begin something like this: The daughter of Genesis rocker Phil Collins, she won a small role as Sandra Bullock's daughter in "The Blind Side," a film that could have been reasonably expected to fade into obscurity had filmmakers not nailed a pitch-perfect tone of inspirational Hollywood drama rather than one of heartstring-tugging schmaltz. The Oscar-winning blockbuster lead to Collins' scoring the female lead in "Abduction," in which she plays the love interest of "Twilight" hunk Taylor Lautner.

The thriller hits theaters in September, and its highly anticipated release among the Twi-set would already qualify Collins as an actress to watch in 2011. But she also stars in the supernatural horror flick, "Priest," and just won the coveted role of Clary Fray in the upcoming adaptation of "City of Bones," the first book in Cassandra Clare's "Mortal Instruments" series. With all these projects in the pipeline, Collins was an obvious pick as one of MTV News' 11 for '11.

The 21-year-old, who speaks with a poise and confidence that belie her years, called us up recently to chat about dealing with her newfound fame, working with Lautner and how she landed the "Mortal Instruments" gig.

MTV: 2011 is shaping up to be a big year for you, coming off "The Blind Side," with a bunch of prominent roles this year and some new projects coming down the line. Does 2011 feel like it's going to be a momentous year?

Lily Collins: It really does. Everything for me has happened so quickly. I finished shooting "The Blind Side" not this past June, but the June before, and all of sudden up to now, it seems like it's gone from zero to 60 for me. I feel so fortunate to be able to say that, because a lot of my friends aren't working, especially since fewer films are being made now and there's more competition. Right before Christmas, I found out I was cast as Clary in "Mortal Instruments," so it was the best early Christmas present ever. So to know that I'm starting off 2011 with that project to film, and also having two other ones coming out, it's a position I never thought I'd see myself in. I feel the momentum.

MTV: Has it been a difficult transition, with the increased attention on your private life as well as your professional life?

Collins: I grew up with my dad going through all that. I grew up understanding the pros and cons of what you're getting into and knowing what comes with your job. I like to keep my private life private, and then work is work. I feel so far I've had a really good balance with that. So far I'm having fun, which is why I'm doing this. I enjoy the craft. I hope that never goes away. I don't like reading things that people say on the Internet because I know so much of it is not true. I don't want to waste my time worrying about what other people are thinking. I just want to focus on being able to do cool projects.

MTV: So let's talk about some of these cool projects you have coming up. "Abduction," first off. Have you seen any finished footage?

Collins: I have seen footage. [Director] John Singleton would shoot scenes and was really open to showing us different takes and if we wanted to see different angles. We had instantaneous feedback. And I have seen cuts here and there of stuff. Nothing like a final edit, but I have seen bits and pieces. I'm extremely proud. This was my biggest role to date. Of course I was nervous. Especially because there was so much action and all those stunts and I'm trying not to fall when I'm going through rivers at 4:30 in the morning. There was so much going on, and every single emotion you can think of we had to go through in the span of 30 seconds because so much happens too quickly. From what I've seen, I'm thrilled. When it comes to the work, I'm excited to see what people think. When it comes to the private life, that's when I don't pay attention.

MTV: Was there one action scene with you and Taylor that was particularly challenging?

Collins: At one point we're running around, trying to escape in the forest, and there's a giant hill that we had to run down, and it felt like a 90-degree angle. John wanted me to fall at a planned moment, but it was so steep, and we were running at high speeds, I would just fall anyway. I had to practice falling, but look like I was falling on purpose. Also, there was a fight scene where I just get beaten up. It was in a very confined space and the choreography was very challenging because you can't be knocking into the camera. "Priest" had a lot of action, and I had to do fight training as well.

MTV: Suddenly you've become an action hero ...

Collins: I know! In "Priest," I don't even look like myself because I have bright red hair and I'm in the same outfit the whole movie, because I'm kidnapped, so I'm dirty the whole time. I was in the desert putting dirt in my hair to make sure I look distressed and downtrodden. But it was fun because I'm jumping off trains and setting people on fire and getting into knife fights.

MTV: Let's talk about "Mortal Instruments."

Collins: That is going to be a whole new world for me. When I found out I was cast, I found out that people were tweeting about me getting cast as their heroine. I know that I'm playing a character in a book that is very popular, but I forget that books have so many fans, that if they don't agree with the casting, it could go terribly wrong. I was so grateful that all these people were tweeting like, "Oh, we're so excited. We totally see her as Clary, and we can't wait to see what she'll do." I don't know what I would have done if people responded negatively.

MTV: Tell me about the audition process.

Collins: Actually, this was the first time I actually didn't audition. They offered me the role. I had just done "Priest," which is from Screen Gems and directed by Scott Stewart, and this project is being directed by Scott Stewart at Screen Gems. So the role I did in "Priest," if the movie does well and goes to a sequel, there are many of that character's traits that I can also find in Clary. I guess they felt passionate that they saw certain characteristics as well, and they felt confident and really believed in me. I'm in still in awe. When I got that call, I was like, "Wait, are you talking about an audition?"

MTV: Is that the next thing you're filming?

Collins: Yeah, I'm supposed to start this in early April. There are other things we're in talks for, but that's my next big project.

MTV: Of course, first you guys have to cast Jace Wayland? Do you have anyone in mind for the part?

Collins: Jace is an interesting one. He's incredibly charming. He's savvy in that he knows he's charming and he works that charm, and he knows he's attractive and can work his way into any situation. But at the same time, he does have insecurities. A lot of actors may not want to show a side of themselves being insecure. That's what Jace does, and I feel a lot of people can relate to him. A lot of guys do feel insecure, but don't want to admit it. A lot of the fans has been tweeting that [they want] Alex Pettyfer. I don't know the process.

MTV: Do you think he'd be a good fit?

Collins: Yeah! He's also going to have a great 2011. The fans of a series like this have such a strong opinion on who they feel would be great as a character, and I feel that's very backed up because they know the characters in and out. I trust a lot of the fans in their opinions. I don't know if there are going to be auditions or anything. I've heard Logan Lerman thrown out for Simon. These are from fans, and I'm excited to see their points-of-view. I've also heard about actors I may never have heard of, because they're more on the independent side. That brings a whole other thing, because an unknown doesn't bring in a whole lot of background. You don't want a new character like this to have people think, "Oh, they've done that already," or, "I can only see them as this kind of character." So I hear that and go, "Wow, maybe an unknown could bring more to this role." Hey, I was an unknown not too long ago, and I was like, "Let me do it! I can prove it to you!"
